It's fall. We're in a barn. And there's nothing better than soul food. Here's the menu which will be served buffet style!

Pulled Pork - Pierogies - Chili

Italian Wedding Soup - Tomato Soup

Fresh (made-on-the-spot) Grilled Cheese

Cornbread - Rolls - Salad

We'll have a hot coffee and hot cider bar and we'll have ice water, lemonade, and iced tea.

If you think we have a unique wedding, wait until you read this! It's a Pennsylvania Wedding Tradition (more specifically western PA). They call it the "Bridal Dance" or the "Dollar Dance."

Everyone is encouraged to spin the bride once or twice in a dance. To start, you form a line and wait next to the maid of honor who is holding a money bag and something for you! (People drop in any dollar amount they want!) and are usually rewarded with a piece of chocolate and a dance with the bride. After you dance, you step out and join hands with those who have already taken a turn with the bride. Eventually you'll form a circle of people holding hands and spinning around the bride. If enough people dance- there will be multiple circles! Once everyone has taken their turn spinning the bride, everyone moves close around her. It's now the groom's job to fight his way into the center and claim his bride (if the brothers and father of the bride don't stop him.)

We know this is bizarre! So we won't be offended if you choose not to participate. Take a look on YouTube and Google if you're curious about the tradition. And have no fear- there will be a much better explanation by Riley's sister at the reception...and the crazies from PA know what to do. Just follow their lead!
